"education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."

Hello All! My name is Hannah Harvey. I am currently a sophomore at Purdue University. During my freshman year here I was majoring in Agriculture Economics, but due to a change of heart I changed my major to Agriculture Education. If you are not familiar with this major, the National FFA Organization states the Agriculture Education will prepare students for successful careers and a lifetime of informed choices in the global agriculture, food, fiber, and natural resources system. With that being said, I plan to be a high school instructor within the United States. I hope to travel the world to help teach about global agriculture before starting my teaching career.
When I am not at school, you can either find me hanging out with my dog, or working at a local grocery store. I like to think that I am a fairly happy person, and I am from a very blessed background. With that being said, being blessed has always pushed me to want to give back. If you asked me what I wanted to be when I was a junior in high school, I can promise you that my answer wouldn't be a teacher but yet my parents say they always knew that education would be the right fit for me. Maybe it was the fact that I have always really enjoyed going to school, and not just for the social aspect, but because it was really fun to me to just learn about a lot of different subjects. I cannot wait to see what this semester has in store for me & what the rest of my education career here at Purdue will lead me to.
